Fillings

Fillings, also known as dental restorations, are dental procedures used to repair teeth that have been damaged by cavities or trauma.
When the tooth enamel or dentin becomes damaged, fillings are used to restore the functionality and aesthetic appearance of the tooth.
Fillings can be made from various materials, including amalgam, composite resins, ceramics, or gold.
Their purpose is not only to close cavities caused by decay but also to provide long-lasting protection and stability to the tooth.

How the procedure looks

The filling procedure typically occurs in several steps. First, the damaged tooth is carefully examined and cleaned, removing any decayed or broken parts. The next step involves placing the filling material into the prepared cavity. Once the material hardens, the tooth will be further shaped and smoothed to ensure comfort and functionality. The entire process is usually quick and painless, with local anesthesia used to minimize discomfort.

When are fillings necessary?

Fillings are intended for all people who have damage to their teeth caused by caries, trauma or natural wear and tear. If you have noticed changes in your teeth, such as pain, sensitivity or dark spots, you may need a filling. After assessing the condition of your teeth, we will recommend the appropriate filling material and type of procedure.

Fillings - price

The cost of fillings depends on the surface area of the tooth that needs to be filled. For example, only one surface of the tooth (usually the top) may need filling, or it could include the top and one side of the tooth, or the top and both side surfaces.
